Morrow Home Community’s Assisted Living Division is now hiring for a Part-Time Meal Aide!

This position will be scheduled every other weekend on varying shifts. We offer a flexible schedule which includes having every other weekend and every other holiday off, along with competitive pay and shift differential pay.

Reports To

Director of Assisted Living

Responsibilities

  • Assists in all phases of dining room and kitchen set up and clean up
  • Preparation of meals
  • Serves food to the residents and assists them as needed
  • Practices proper infection control, food safety, and food storage and handling techniques and follows all applicable policies and procedures
  • Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen, storage, and dining areas
  • Shows respect for the residents and the residents’ dietary needs at all times.
  • Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values, and wisdom of the residents and an understanding of the aging process.
  • Shows respect for residents and residents’ belongings at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience in Geriatric, long term care, or assisted living is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in meal service or adequate in-service training and orientation in food safety procedures.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
