Morrow Home Community is now hiring for a part-time linen services aide in our long-term care community! This position will be scheduled approximately 30 hours per bi-weekly pay period. There is also the opportunity to pick up additional hours as desired. We offer a flexible schedule which includes having every other weekend and every other holiday off!

Reports To

Director of Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Show respect for residents and residents’ belongings at all times
Give personal attention and care to clothing of each resident.
Sort, wash, fold, and iron residents’ clothing.
Inspect laundered articles to ensure that they are in good repair and properly labeled.
Deliver residents’ personal laundry to the residents’ rooms.
Keep linen closets and carts neat and tidy.
Wash table linens and iron as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

High School graduate preferred
Experience and/or training in laundry operations.
Ability to perform manual tasks, work standing in a damp and often warm environment for 2-3 hours at a time.
At times could be lifting and/or moving items and bags that weigh fifty pounds or more
Must enjoy working in an environment where elderly persons are present.
